Awesome write up! And true to its nature, good to see the comments and questions it evokes!

I have faced this struggle myself, until I found 'The #BELBIN Way' to see the shadows of my superpowers. I love the way Dr Meredith Belbin called my shadows as 'Allowable Weaknesses' which show up as flip sides of our extreme strengths. I did have one shadow that was large enough to become dysfunctional.. it was 'non-allowable'.

My Belbin Team Role Report pin-pointed my shadows so clearly in 'behavioral' terms, it helped me make the change 'one behavior at a time' ( even ONE can be tough! ).

Am happy to share my journey with anyone who is interested. Just DM me. No strings attached! Cheers!

Fantastic article! A couple of thoughts I need to follow through for myself on this: 1) how do you know you aren't hurting your superpower in a quest to work on the shadow side of it. What if it makes you lose what made you unique or special. 2) There is a possibility that what's more of a shadow side for a superpower becomes less of a negative in a different environment. So, in that case should you rather seek to move to a place where your superpower is so relevant and important that the shadow side is not that much of a problem.
